Both are biostimulators, but they work differently. Radiesse provides immediate lift plus collagen stimulation—you see results instantly. Sculptra works entirely through gradual collagen building with no immediate volume. We often combine them: Radiesse for structural definition, Sculptra for global volume restoration.
With proper numbing, most patients rate discomfort as 3-4 out of 10. The hyperdilute formula includes lidocaine for comfort. The neck is more sensitive than other areas, but treatment is very tolerable.
Results typically last 12-24 months depending on the area treated. Jawline results can extend to 24 months. Many patients schedule annual maintenance treatments.
Unlike HA fillers, Radiesse cannot be dissolved. This is why choosing an experienced provider is essential. However, because we work conservatively and it naturally metabolizes over time, issues are very rare.
