Dr. Marguerite Bernett is a highly skilled aesthetic plastic surgeon based in Newport Beach, California, bringing more than two decades of dedicated experience to her patients.
Since 1999, she has provided comprehensive care that spans aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body, liposuction, cosmetic lasers, dermal injectables, medical skin care, and energy-based technologies for skin tightening.
Her background extends to skin cancer surgery, Mohs reconstruction, wound care, and leadership as Medical Director for several plastic surgery and medical spa practices—ensuring elevated standards of safety and patient experience.
Dr. Bernett earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California, Irvine, followed by a four-year General Surgery residency and a Microsurgery Research Fellowship at UC Irvine Medical Center. She went on to complete a two-year Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at Tulane University Medical Center and further specialized training at the University of Kentucky at Louisville Medical Center.
Before establishing her private practice, Dr. Bernett honed her expertise under mentors such as Gustavo Colon, M.D., former president of the Aesthetic Society, and David Furnas, M.D., Chief of Plastic Surgery at UC Irvine. She has also contributed as a consulting reconstructive breast surgeon for the Susan B. Komen Foundation, supporting underserved patients in their recovery journeys.
